Tipopils by Birrificio Italiano is a pale bottom-fermented craft beer produced since 1996. It was one of the brewery’s first two beers and the product that contributed most significantly to its recognition. It is based on the traditional Pilsner style but differs through its more expressive use of aromatic hops. Dry hopping is used during production to intensify the hop aromas without substantially increasing bitterness. The producer identifies it as the first Pilsner in which this technique was systematically applied. Tipopils later became one of the main references for the development of the style known as Italian Pilsner. It has a golden color and a white head, while its unfiltered character can result in slight natural cloudiness. The aroma is dominated by herbal hop notes and hints of freshly cut grass. These are complemented by malty notes of grain and honey, together with subtle aromas of fresh yeast. Its flavor is malty and hop-forward, rounded, and moderately full-bodied, with pronounced but controlled bitterness. The texture is smooth, while moderate carbonation contributes to a clean and dry finish. The beer contains 5.2% alcohol by volume and is produced throughout the year.
