Marrons Glacés by Corsiglia are traditional French glazed chestnuts - whole sweet chestnuts candied in sugar syrup and finished with a thin, translucent sugar glaze. Corsiglia has produced them since the family confectionery house was established in Marseille in 1896, while production now takes place at its facility in Aubagne.

Production follows the traditional confisage sous tulle method. The raw chestnuts are manually wrapped in pairs in a fine muslin cloth, which protects them from breaking and absorbing too much sugar during cooking and candying. The candying process occurs through osmosis, as the sugar syrup gradually replaces the water within the fruit. The candied chestnuts are then finished with a delicate sugar glaze.

Corsiglia Marrons Glacés have a soft, moist texture, a pronounced chestnut flavor, and balanced sweetness complemented by a subtle note of Bourbon vanilla. They can be enjoyed on their own as a confection or served with coffee or tea, as part of a festive selection, or alongside other desserts.
