Dohba Mexicano is an artisanal joven mezcal from the Mixteca region of Oaxaca, Mexico. Made from Mexicano agave, its character highlights the herbal aromas of this agave variety.
The agave hearts are roasted in conical ovens lined with volcanic stone, then mechanically shredded and fermented in oak vats. This is followed by double distillation in a copper still, with the heads and tails separated from the spirit. As an unaged mezcal, Mexicano retains its clarity and direct expression of agave.
It has an intense aroma of field herbs, which carries through to the palate. Expressive without aggressive sharpness, it offers a balanced herbal profile and a lingering finish. It can be served neat as an aperitif before a meal or enjoyed slowly afterward.

Its production draws on the expertise of master mezcalero Manuel González and a tradition passed down through three generations of his family, although the brand’s founding year is not specified.
The range includes Espadín, Mexicano, and Ensamble, which combines Mexicano and Papalometl agaves. The brand also pays particular attention to its packaging: each bottle is individually hand-blown from recycled glass in Tonalá, Jalisco, giving every piece its own distinctive appearance.
