Eska Natural Spring Water is a still natural spring water originating from the Abitibi–Témiscamingue region of Quebec, Canada. The water is drawn from the Saint-Mathieu–Lac-Berry esker, a geological formation created by a melting glacier approximately 9,000 years ago. Rainfall and melted snow seep into the ground and gradually pass through layers of glacial sand, gravel, and pebbles for at least 15 years. These sediments act as a natural filter while enriching the water with small amounts of minerals. The esker maintains the spring at a temperature of approximately five degrees Celsius throughout the year. The water is drawn and bottled at a facility located directly beside the source in Saint-Mathieu-d’Harricana. According to the producer, it is not distilled, demineralized, or chemically treated. No chlorine, fluoride, or ozone is added, while the bottling process involves minimal direct human contact. Its total dissolved solids content is approximately 85 milligrams per liter, placing it among waters with low mineralization. Calcium is the predominant mineral, while sodium, magnesium, and potassium occur in smaller amounts. Its pH is approximately 7.8, giving the water a mildly alkaline character. The low mineral content contributes to a clean, mild, and neutral taste without a pronounced mineral finish.
