Lingham’s Original Chilli Sauce is a traditional Malaysian sweet and spicy sauce produced by Lingham’s since 1908. It originated in Butterworth, Penang, and its original recipe has been preserved for more than a century.

The sauce is made with only four ingredients: sugar, red chillies (33%), vinegar, and salt. It develops its naturally thick and smooth consistency from its high chilli content, without the addition of starch or tomato purée.

It offers a harmonious balance of sweetness, acidity, and moderate heat, accompanied by the clean, pronounced flavour of red chillies. It can be used as a dipping sauce, marinade, glaze, or cooking ingredient and pairs particularly well with grilled meat, chicken, seafood, fried dishes, vegetables, and rice-based meals.
