Hyakunen Umeshu Premium is a premium Japanese plum wine produced by Meiri Shurui in Mito, Ibaraki Prefecture. It is made from carefully selected Shirakaga ume plums, which are matured for more than three years before being blended with French brandy and honey. This production method gives the liqueur a rich and well-balanced character, combining the natural sweetness and acidity of the plums with smooth notes of dried fruit, caramel, vanilla, and oak. Compared with the standard Hyakunen Umeshu, the Premium edition offers greater depth and complexity, with a fuller body and a long, elegant finish. It is bottled at 20% ABV and is typically enjoyed neat or over ice, allowing its layered aromas and flavors to develop fully. Hyakunen Umeshu Premium reflects Meiri Shurui's long-standing expertise in umeshu production and is regarded as one of the company's flagship premium products.
