Farina di Castagne is a chestnut flour produced by Molino Zanone in Lisio, Piedmont, Italy. It is made by milling naturally dried, quality-controlled chestnuts, drawing on the company’s long experience in chestnut processing.
The flour is very fine, light in colour and naturally sweet.
It can be used to make castagnaccio, sweet polenta, fritters and biscuits, as well as pasta, gnocchi and bread. Mixed with water or milk, it can also be used to make a batter for sweet crêpes.
