Adatara Ginjo is a sake from the Okunomatsu brand, named after Mount Adatara near Nihonmatsu in Japan’s Fukushima Prefecture. It was created as a ginjō sake to enjoy with an everyday meal.
It is made with underground water from Mount Adatara. Its ingredients are rice, rice kōji and added brewing alcohol; the rice is polished until 60% of each grain remains. The sake has an alcohol content of 15% and a nihonshu-do value of +4, indicating a dry style.
It has a fresh, rounded aroma and a smooth, dry finish. The brewery suggests serving it chilled at first, then enjoying it with a meal as it gradually reaches room temperature and develops a fuller flavor.
