Ouzo of Plomari 1894 is the traditional expression crafted according to Isidoros Arvanitis’ original 1894 recipe, based on carefully selected anis from Lisvori, fennel, and aromatic herbs sourced from Lesbos and other regions of Greece. It is slowly distilled in small copper alembics, with no added essences, resulting in a clean, precise, and well-balanced profile.
The aroma is dominated by gentle yet intense anise, complemented by subtle spicy and herbal notes that reveal the depth of the traditional formula. The taste is smooth, soft, and mildly sweet, and when diluted with water it develops the characteristic milky hue typical of high-quality ouzo.
This edition is considered the most classic expression of the Plomari tradition, intended for those who want to experience authentic Aegean ouzo in its original, historic form.
