Paccheri – Premiato Pastificio Afeltra | Pasta di Gragnano IGP
Since 1848, Premiato Pastificio Afeltra has represented the excellence of traditional Italian pasta-making in Gragnano, the historic heart of pasta production near Naples.
Afeltra Paccheri are crafted from 100% Italian durum wheat semolina and pure spring water from the Monti Lattari mountains. Extruded through traditional bronze dies and slowly dried at controlled temperatures, they develop a distinctive rough surface, exceptional texture, and excellent sauce-holding properties.
Paccheri are among the most iconic pasta shapes of Southern Italy. Their large, cylindrical shape and generous diameter make them perfect for capturing rich sauces and enhancing the flavors of Mediterranean cuisine.
Ideal with seafood, fresh tomatoes, traditional Neapolitan ragù, or creative stuffed preparations, Afeltra Paccheri offer outstanding versatility for both home cooking and professional gastronomy.
Proudly certified Pasta di Gragnano IGP, they embody nearly two centuries of craftsmanship, authenticity, and dedication to quality.
Afeltra Paccheri: the authentic taste of Gragnano, where Italian heritage, carefully selected ingredients, and time-honored craftsmanship come together in every bite.
Producer
Pastificio Afeltra, established in 1848, is a historic Italian pasta producer located in Gragnano, Campania - a town renowned as the World Capital of Pasta. Situated on Via Roma, historically known as the strada dei pastai or pasta makers street, Afeltra has been crafting traditional pasta for over a century.
Afeltra uses 100% Italian heirloom durum wheat semolina and natural spring water sourced from the Monti Lattari mountains. The pasta is bronze-die extruded, giving it a rough texture that enhances sauce adherence.
It undergoes a slow-drying process at low temperatures, preserving its nutritional value and flavor.
