Reserva Tinto is the flagship wine of Quinta de la Quietud, representing a classic yet restrained expression of DO Toro. It is made exclusively from Tinta de Toro, sourced from dry-farmed old vines that naturally deliver low yields and high concentration.

The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented with native yeasts, in line with the winery’s organic and low-intervention philosophy. Aging typically lasts around 24 months in French oak barrels, with a limited proportion of new wood to support structure without overshadowing the fruit.

Aromatically, the wine shows ripe black fruit, licorice and subtle balsamic notes, layered with spice, cocoa and a distinct mineral edge. On the palate, it is full-bodied and structured, with firm yet polished tannins and balanced acidity that keeps the wine precise despite its power.

Alcohol is generous but well integrated, reflecting Toro’s extreme continental climate. The finish is long, dry and persistent, emphasizing depth rather than sweetness.

Reserva Tinto is built for aging and evolves toward greater complexity over time. It stands as a serious, terroir-driven interpretation of Tinta de Toro, combining intensity with discipline and longevity.
