Steirisches Kürbiskernöl g.g.A. is an Austrian pumpkin seed oil produced by Ölmühle & Gemüsehof Rauch in Bierbaum, southeastern Styria. It carries Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status and is made exclusively from Styrian pumpkin seeds grown on the family’s own farm.

Carefully selected and cleaned seeds are ground in a stone mill, then mixed with water and salt. The mixture is roasted to develop its characteristic aroma before being pressed in a piston press. The oil is produced in small batches, left to clarify naturally through settling, and then bottled by hand in dark glass bottles.

It is characterized by a pronounced nutty flavour, a delicate aroma, and a smooth, velvety mouthfeel. Suitable for dressing salads, adding to soups, and finishing savoury dishes, it lends the distinctive flavour of roasted pumpkin seeds.
