Organic ST25 Rice is an organic aromatic white rice produced by the Vietnamese company Sepon Group. It is made from the ST25 variety cultivated in controlled fields in Quảng Trị Province. The company organizes cultivation in cooperation with local farmers and agricultural cooperatives. The rice is grown in accordance with Vietnam’s national organic production standards while the company states that it is working toward obtaining American, European, and Japanese certifications. Organic fertilizers and fermented nutrients derived from plant residues, shells, eggshells, and other natural materials are used in production. Native microorganisms and plant-based preparations are used to maintain soil fertility and control pests. No synthetic fertilizers or chemical pesticides are applied during cultivation. The product contains no genetically modified seeds, chemical bleaching agents, preservatives, or artificial flavors. The uncooked grains are long, slender, and slightly translucent white. After cooking, the rice becomes soft, elastic, and moderately sticky. It has a natural aroma and a mildly sweet flavor that remains noticeable in the finish. The cooked grains retain their softness after cooling without becoming noticeably dry.
