Bergamot & Seville Orange Marmalade is a seasonal citrus marmalade handmade in small batches by The Artisan Kitchen in Gloucestershire. It combines Seville oranges, known for the bitterness characteristic of traditional English marmalade, with fragrant bergamots from Calabria.
It is made with organic Seville oranges, sugar, Calabrian bergamots and lemon juice. The balance between the two citrus fruits is carefully judged: Seville oranges provide pronounced flavour, bitterness and peel texture, while bergamot adds a floral aroma reminiscent of Earl Grey tea.
The marmalade has a bright, bittersweet flavour and a long, aromatic finish. It can be spread on warm toast or brioche, stirred into yogurt, or served with soft cheeses.
