Gloucester Marmalade

4.2 ·

The Artisan Kitchen’s Gloucester Marmalade is a distinctive small-batch preserve handmade in Gloucester, England, and created as a celebration of Gloucestershire produce.

The marmalade combines citrus fruit with local cider and locally produced Bramley apple juice, bringing a rounded fruitiness and gentle orchard character to the natural bitterness of the citrus. The cider adds depth and warmth, while the Bramley apple juice contributes fresh acidity and a subtle apple note, creating a beautifully balanced marmalade with a long, bittersweet finish.

Gloucester Marmalade was named Food Product of the Year at the Cotswold Life Food & Drink Awards in 2018 and also received Silver at the Taste of the West Awards that year. It has continued to receive Great Taste recognition, including 2 Stars in 2024 and 1 Star in 2026.

Created by chef and preserve maker Sarah Churchill, founder of The Artisan Kitchen, it reflects a chef-led approach to traditional preserving and a strong connection to the food and drink of Gloucestershire.

Delicious on hot buttered toast, croissants and brioche, it also pairs beautifully with cheese, charcuterie and roast meats, and works particularly well in glazes and savoury dishes.
