The Artisan Kitchen’s Sanguinelli Blood Orange Marmalade is a limited-edition, small-batch preserve handmade in Gloucester, England, using seasonal Sanguinelli blood oranges.
Sanguinelli oranges are prized for their vivid crimson flesh, aromatic peel and distinctive flavour, combining bright citrus acidity with deeper, almost berry-like notes. The result is a striking marmalade with remarkable colour, generous fruit character and a beautifully balanced bittersweet finish.
Prepared with approximately half a kilo of oranges in every 200g jar, this is an exceptionally fruit-led marmalade, designed to capture the natural intensity and personality of the fruit rather than overwhelm it with sweetness.
In 2026, Sanguinelli Blood Orange Marmalade received 2 Stars at the Great Taste Awards.
Created by chef and preserve maker Sarah Churchill, founder of The Artisan Kitchen, it reflects a chef-led approach to traditional preserving, celebrating exceptional seasonal citrus in very small batches.
Delicious on hot buttered toast, croissants and brioche, it also pairs beautifully with soft cheeses, creamy blue cheese and dark chocolate desserts.
