Trumer Pils by Trumer Privatbrauerei is a pale bottom-fermented beer produced in the German-style pilsner tradition. It is made from water, barley malt, and whole-leaf natural hops in accordance with traditional beer purity regulations. The brewery uses a specially developed open-fermentation process that allows foam and unwanted substances to be removed from the surface of the beer. Fermentation is followed by an extended maturation period during which the flavor gradually becomes more rounded. The beer has a pale golden color, a light body, and pronounced clarity. Fine carbonation contributes to its dry and crisp texture. Its aroma is dominated by floral and herbal hop notes while the malt base remains mild and restrained. The flavor is distinctly dry with a noticeable but balanced bitterness. It contains 4.9 percent alcohol while its original gravity is 11.5 degrees Plato. Trumer Pils is the best-known product of this Austrian brewery and the central element of its production identity.
